About Paula Vergara – Production Designer, Art Director & Set Decorator
Paula Vergara is a Colombian-Canadian Production Designer, Art Director, and Set Decorator specializing in film, television, documentary, commercial production, and branded content. Based in London, Ontario, Paula brings more than 14 years of professional experience in visual storytelling, production design, art direction, and set dressing across diverse genres and formats.
As the co-founder of Half & Half Agency, an award-winning creative studio, Paula leads high-impact projects from concept development to final delivery. Her background in graphic design, visual communication, and cinematic world-building allows her to create immersive environments that elevate story, character, and emotional tone. She is recognized for her ability to translate scripts into striking visual concepts through set design, props, space styling, color design, and art department leadership.
Paula is the Director of the 2024 docu-series Arrivance: A Journey of Resilience, and she is currently developing the feature film Nu9ve (Nin9), where she acts as Director, Writer, and Production Designer. Her credits include Production Designer and Associate Producer on the comedy series 18 to 35 (TV1), and she has contributed to the Art Department on Canadian productions including Beauty Shop Mysteries. She is also directing multiple short films in active production.
With a collaborative approach and a strong creative vision, Paula continues to shape compelling visual worlds through production design, art direction, set decoration, and narrative-driven design.
