Arrivance: A Journey of Resilience
Cinematic documentary capture with a lightweight camera kit
Arrivance: A Journey of Resilience is a documentary series built around real people, real spaces, and emotionally grounded storytelling. The camera approach needed to be flexible, reliable, and discreet, while still delivering a cinematic image suitable for broadcast and festival exhibition.
The production was captured using a compact cinema camera setup, proving that image quality comes from intention, not scale.

The Challenge
This documentary required:
Fast-moving setups across multiple locations
Minimal crew footprint
Long interview days with consistent image quality
A camera system that could adapt to both controlled interviews and spontaneous moments
The camera needed to stay out of the way — technically strong, but creatively invisible.
The Camera Approach
We prioritized:
Strong dynamic range for mixed lighting environments
Super 35 depth of field for a cinematic feel without being intrusive
High-quality codecs for flexibility in post
Lightweight rigs that could move quickly and reset fast
The goal was to create images that felt intimate, grounded, and visually consistent — without slowing down production.

Fast resets between locations
Lighting Used
Key Light

Used as the main key light for interviews.
Its output allowed us to push light through diffusion or bounce while maintaining a soft, cinematic look.
Fill & Accent
2 × Godox SL-60W
Used for fill, edge light, or background separation depending on location and time of day.
Practical Lighting
Aputure B7C bulbs

Add warmth and depth
-
Maintain control over color temperature without breaking realism
